Location:
Webinar via Zoom
Event Description
This webinar is a must attend for building specifiers and professionals who want a well-rounded knowledge on timber and how it can be used in every application.
Event Program
When we employ sound design principles, timber can be a safe and effective building material for use in bushfire prone areas. Looking forward, research and development is delivering treatments and technology to make timber even safer in BAL-zones.
This webinar will highlight the ongoing research, product innovations, and advancements in timber treatments being undertaken and developed by industry so that end users can feel confident about fire-rated timber construction. Safety engineers will present the latest fire research informing design considerations for safer timber buildings, and how we can apply these principles to build robustly in bushfire zones. Participants will also be introduced to FLAMEfixx dFx®, a global first incorporating a fully impregnated fire-retardant treatment option for softwood timber, which significantly improves the performance of timber against fire, but also termite attack & fungal decay.
Time: 11.00 am - 12.10 pm AEST (Brisbane time)
This webinar will be hosted via Zoom. Full program available via Zoom.
