Timber Queensland is proud to announce the launch of a 2021 group energy procurement tender for members at a time when the wholesale market remains low.
Launched in conjunction with fellow association, the Waste & Recycling Industry of Queensland (WRIQ), and run by Choice Energy, the group energy procurement tender will help to directly assist Queensland members to leverage the power of group buying for their electricity contracts.
A group energy procurement tender involves negotiating competitive rates by optimising the group buying power of a collective of business energy contracts and taking them to market. Typically, this activity results in better energy agreement opportunities for all parties.
Choice Energy recently helped 41 member hotels of the Australian Hotels Association (SA) save an additional 15% on the total contracted agreements than if secured on an individual basis.
The Timber Queensland group tender will be run in conjunction with fellow Queensland industry association WRIQ, the peak industry body in Queensland for waste and recycling.
Choice Energy has a long history supporting the timber industry, working alongside Timber Queensland for several years now. Choice Energy currently works with a range of timber businesses to reduce costs and footprint including Timber Queensland members across processing, wholesaling and fabrication sectors.
