Timber Identification
Advisory to the Building industry
Structural Timber Product Identification and Traceability
By law builders and certifiers must check that any structural timber product used on a job complies with Australian Standards, CodeMark certification or via a Performance Solution.
Timber Queensland's Advisory Note for the Building Industry provides examples of the brands, labels, stamps or marks required on a product to claim compliance.
Following the release of this advice, Timber Queensland and the Queensland Building & Construction Commission (QBCC) ran a joint webinar which covered how to correctly identify timber products that comply with Australian Standards, CodeMark certification or a Performance Solution, and provided background information on non-conforming building products and how to report them.
