Komatsu Forest is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of forest machines. We are represented on six world continents by a network of dealers and our own sales companies.

Komatsu Forest’s head office is in Umeå, Sweden, and we have three manufacturing units, in Sweden, USA for purpose-built and Osaka Japan for excavator-based forest machines. Our own sales companies are located in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, France, United Kingdom, Russia, USA, Australia and Brazil, and our network of dealers represent us on all other important forestry markets.

Australia’s Komatsu Forest Pty Ltd was established in 1991 and is the only factory owned forest equipment distributor in Australia and New Zealand. Head Office located in Sydney with branches and dealers located throughout the relative forest regions of both countries. Being a factory owned company enables close ties with the factories for localised development to suit local conditions.

Our extensive service organisation takes care of the machines, ensuring that they perform their best throughout their service lives. We have workshops throughout the world, service vehicles for quick assistance, in-house machine and methodology instructors to help maximise productivity, and support functions for everything related to our machines and services.

IVS Labs are an analytical testing laboratory specialising in Timber Treatment Preservative testing operating in both Australia and New Zealand.

Our experienced team have serviced the timber industry since 2011 and strive to provide accurate, rapid test results with accompanying compliance certification for timber treatment providers as well as those involved in other aspects of the timber supply chain.

We provide an independent testing programme, fast turnaround, high accuracy and precision and an efficient online system for submitting, tracking and viewing test results and reports.

IVS Labs (NZ) are accredited to IANZ ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 International Standard and adhere to relevant timber industry standards AS/NZS1604 and NZ3640.
